Manufactured to IOR requirements for offshore racing, this Dan buoy provides rugged dependability.
Composed of :
- - a telescopic black aluminium pole (3 elements)
- - two cylindrical floatation buoys filled with coated polystyrene closed cell foam, Ø 3.3",
- - one neon orange flag, 18.8" x 14.4"
- - 26' of floating rope to attach to horseshoe lifebuoy
To obtain a Dan buoy with light, simply add the optional light kit. When fitted, light is situated 6.6' above waterline. Powered by a 9 V battery.
Lanyard must be attached to magnetic clip on light and also to a fixed point on the yacht. When the Dan buoy is thrown into the water, the lanyard detaches the clip from the light, which then lights up. Light will only activate when removed from its clip. When light is correctly replaced in the clip, it will go out.
To fit the light to the Dan buoy, push bayonet fitting into top of Dan buoy. No rivets/screws required.
